The Hogwart's Vs Jedi Temple thread (http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic.php?t=1406) got me thinking and i came up with this wizardly deathmatch:

In the Grey Corner:
From LOTR Gandalf the Grey with staff and sword at the ready. (The dirty great big eagle is currently unavailable)

In the White Corner:
Also of LOTR Saruman the White with staff and a grudge against Gandalf.

In the Octarin Corner:
Representing Unseen University on the Discworld, Archchancellor Mustrom Ridcully with a fully charged staff, a pocket full of spells, one bottle of Ridcully Famalies Patented Wow-Wow Sauce and a bottle of whisky secreted in his hat.

In the Brown Corner:
Also of the Discworld, rather reluctantly taking part, Rincewind the "Wizzard" with no magical ability at all, but with lots of luck and the ability to do the hundred metre sprint in less than 10 seconds. (The Luggage has been restrained off field.)

In the Blue Corner:
Representing Hogwart's School of Wizardry and Witchcraft, Albus Dumbledore, with his wand and an incredibly long beard.

In the Red Corner:
Having snuck out of his dormitry at Hogwarts, Harry Potter with his wand and a lot of confidence.

Taking place in in the Hogwart's Quadditch pitch battle will commence soon.

LET'S GET REAAAAAADDYYYY TO RUUUUUMMMMBBLLLLLLEEEEEEEE!!!!!

You left out the Lady, the Dominator, the Limper, Soulcatcher, Longshadow, Shapeshifter, One-Eye, Goblin...and for that there can be no reparation made.

In other news, Gandalf has defeated huge demon-beasts of flame and shadow. I've never seen Dumbledore swat a fly, Sauramn already lost, and Gandalf can simply shock the Discworlders to death by exposing how unfunny Terry Prachett really is.

Bunny- I took wizards from the 3 most popular fantasy series that i know. To my knowledge the only mainstream appereance the Black Mage has made is in Final Fantasy 9. Also i don't know a lot about his powers.

Mr Bean- ?

MoO- From the first time we see him in FoTR

Cyril- I haven't heard of any of those apart from if you mean the Lady from Discworld which i suspect you don't. Also given that terry Pratchett is one of the best selling British Authors, ogt an OBE in 1998 and has huge fanbases around the world i think that some people may disagree with you about how funny he is, not to mention that his novels aren't just about humour.

A look at the earlier voting puts Gandalf the Grey in a strong leading position. Quite surprisingly in second place is Rincewind. Obviously he might be the last one standing because he quickly runs like hell as soon as the contest strts. As many have pointed out he has plenty of scars, almost all of them are on his back.

Also why is it a big deal that Gandalf beat the Balrog? to me it seems all he did was destroy the bridge underneath it.

To everyone that has posted something like:
"hey, you forgot [ mister X ], he would easily win"

As I have already said, I have taken 6 wizards, 2 each from the 3 most popular fantasy universes IMO. Apart from the Black Mage (who has popped up in some past threads and because my mate has FF9) I have never heard of any of the other wizards people have suggested. However i am quite sure that there are enough wizards named here for someone to start up another poll, second semi-final maybe?

If people keep bringing up extra wizards, I'm so pulling Nitram(Sor 25/Monk 25/Acm 5) and killing them where they stand to let the duel go back to normal.
