living on a heavy gravity planet
I remember SETI I think was saying they found a planet that was 3 times the size of the Earth, how would this effect people, say you didn't evolve there, but went to live there, I mean you would change physically during your own life time, since you need stronger muscles to move wouldn't you? I'd like to live on one, then come back and beat the crap out of people who have wronged me
Well, assuming your heart doesn't pop in about a week, sure. Or you could just work out here and save a couple trillion dollars... Really, there would be quite a lot of problems unless you were already in increadable shape, and even then you could hurt yourself really easily. Tripping while you were walking across the room there would be like jumping off the roof of a house onto your face here. But yea, if you survived the experience (and were actually doing things instead of lying in bed all day) then yes, you'd be the king of ass kickers.

I think that heavy gravity would impair your movements. After all, the effects of heavy gravity are basically the opposite of that of light gravity, aren't they??
Don't count on this happening.Shrykull wrote:I mean you would change physically during your own life time,

* i dont know if this is true or what but it sounds good to me* Well In chemistry my odd ball teacher likes to go on and on about how some planet hit earth back in the days and somehow earths and this planets cores became one and thats why there is so much Iron and nickle in earths core. this might also give earth higher gravity than a planet of the same size without the oddly large special core deal going on.... so a planet 3 times the size of earth might not have 3 times earths gravitys for us to deal with... but lets just say that it did
This is what would probly happen- In the first few months if you didnt do any thing stupid like jump up and down you should survive without any broken bones or * not sure on this* a ruptured internal organ or nut sack or if women where at this planet * god it would suck if there wasent...* their breasts would get a lot floppyer ...... now assuming that you survived the first few months with out any thing bad happening like trying to jump down 5 feet and in mid leap realizing that an impact with the ground here at 5 feet is equal to and impact from 15 feet on earth... ouch...anyways you would probly get around 3 times stronger over all because all of your mucles and organs would have to work 3 times harder to get the job done... this is of course assuming that you dont have a weak heart or somthing and die because it cant pump blood into your brain anymore due to the high gravitys..... I am thinking that this shouldnt be a prob because roller coasters reguallry expose people to 3 G's and Fighter pilots get alot more up around 6's doing regular combat manouvers so they dont get nailed by the skinny on ground with a shoulder launched SAM or shot down by the dumb F*** in a Mig 21....

Jaris that planet's name is Orpheus and is the current theory for how the moon was formed.
But yea we do have a rather iron rich core, perhaps a planet 3 times as large would be only as dense as say...the moon, in which case it would be alot easier for a man to live there than if it was as dense as earth, sorta a statement of the obvious i know, but still.
