My Stepfather is a Fucking Asshole!

Well he is!!!

Here's the story:

Both my parents have jobs. My mother has a part-time job at Wall-Mart and my sepfather has a full-time job at a company called Omniglass. My mother makes less than he does, but she's responsible for most of the bills. All my stepfather has to pay is 1 or 2 bills a month. That's it.

Well, earlier this week, we had quite a shock. The gas company (the company that supplies the gas to heat our water) phoned us up saying that if we don't pay the bill by today (May 30th), the gas will be turned off. Turns out he has not made any payments on the bill since last August. The bill now totaled a few thousand.

But all hope was not lost. They said that if we could pay just $600 they would not turn it off. We were saved! Or so we thought.....

My mother goes there with the money, and it turns out the lady on the phone made a small mistake. She actually meant $1200 instead of $600. There was no way we could pay that just now.

So, on June 2nd, our hot water will be turned off for at least a month while we scrape up the money to pay the bill.

As a consequence, I will only be having cold showers for the next month. This is particuarly distressing to me since I'm the type of guy that has a shower every damn day.

I'm really going to hate Monday

The one thing that really bugs me though, is that if he hadn't paid the bill since last August, where the fuck did all that extra money disapear too?

If he's gonna marry, it's his job to help provide for the family. There's no reason you should be going without heat simply because this guy wants to hold onto his own money coffers. Greedy bastard.

2) just see if you can't go to a friends house to shower. i'm sure if they're anykind of friend to you, they'll let you use their shower after they heard the story.
3) if all else fails...i'm part italian. we're good at "collecting" funds from people unwilling to pay.

He reminds me of Rob's ex flatmate, but his ex wife had the sense to leave him. My man now has a CCJ because of that bastard.
