Does anyone remember Torg?

Post by Stravo »

It was one of the few RPGs that I actually enjoyed playing all the way through and filled notebooks with campaign ideas. Its also one of teh few RPGS where I played out multiple full campaigns instead of the half campaigns that we always left unfinished because we lost interest in the system.

I thought it was brilliantly laid out with adventure ideas for all gamers. Feel like some cybertech adventures - go to the Cyberpapcy....wanna add a horror element to your hacking - Tharkold is your destination. Want to go Dinosaur hunting because you saw Jurrassic Park - The Living Land awaits. Want to be a costumed pulp hero - The Nile Empire needs heroes. Want to be a ninja or study martial arts and be enlightened - Nippon Tech is the answer to that enigma. Want to fight Cthuluish horrors, Ororrsh screams for you. Tired of D&D but like some magic and medieval fun - Aysle for you my lord and Lady.

You get the idea. This was an AWESOME gaming system that I enjoyed tremendously and still think about occasioanlly. Also the fact that your heroes were called : "Storm Knights" was just too cool.

Am I crazy or do others remember this gaming system from West End back in the day?
Wherever you go, there you are.
