Do I need a new monitor?

Sigh, ok, my monitor is on occassion turning yellowy (a slight tinge, but noticeable and ugly on the eyes), its not a big issue and is usually resolved by a tap on the side of the monitor (or a smack, depending on time of day), but the monitor's near a lot of electrical equipment (speakers, vcr, hifi) mainly because I have nowhere else to put them. Do I need a new one here?

Of course you should. Any time you have a chance to get a new one do so.

Well, I'd agree, but I'm broke - maybe I can put pressure on my folks to get me a new one...

Get a job, unless your folks buckle easy. If your parents were like mine you have have a better chance finding a job

It's a bit tricky trying to find a job from the otherside of the country, I may end up biting the bullet and going back to my crappy 'wash dishes in the pub' nightmare...
