I've always used 800x600, but just now I'm gonna try to get myself acquainted with 1024x768.

I use 800x600 and 1024x768, big resolutions are good for small screens, since you can have a larger workspace, but its terrible on the eyes.

1024x768. I'd use 1280x1024 if I had a bigger monitor.

1280x1024 on a 19" monitor. I use 1024x768 on a 17". Of course, for the first, I have to set "use large icons" to be able to quickly target and hit things on my desktop. I'd actually go higher on my 19", but the refresh rate is terrible above where I have it.

1280x1024 at 60Hz on a 17 incher. Which means if you look out the edge of your eye, you can see it flickering. But my eyes are already f*cked up.

I run at 1280x1024 on my 19 inch at home and 1024x768 on my work box.
Just a quick note, you should not be running 1280x1024 on anything but a 19" monitor, as that resolution was designed for 19" monitors. If you'll notice, it does not have a 4:3 aspect ratio because a 19" monitor has slightly different dimensions. If you run 1280x960 on a 19 inch monitor, circles will appear disproportionate. And running 1280x1024 on a 17" monitor will kill your eyes.

Feh, it's hardly a strange resolution. I like using 1152x864. And it's just fantastic on my mere 17" monitor.BrYaN19kc wrote:1152x864 on a 21" viewable. 8)
I had to edit this after I checked my resolution. It's kind of a weird setting, but it works great on this monitor.

1024X768 on a 15" monitor. I have too many icons on my desktop to use smaller resolutions now.

800x600 with a 14" or 15"
1024x768 if 17"
1280x960 on my current 19"
Anything more than that and it's a strain for the eyes.
But for games, I rarely go over 1024x768 (sometimes I use less, really think it's silly to use more). Only when I can have more space with the interface (windows in Morrowind, etc, which I play at 1280x960).
