Solid Snake's thread gave me an idea.....Picture this. Q tosses you the 'keys' to a sovereign class starship run by androids. It is the present day. What do you do? Immoliate the Middle East? Enforce "world peace" with the threat of a few hundred torpedoes? fly around the galaxy looking for space hookers? what would you do?

Oh my, how tempting.
I'd sort out all that mess in troubled areas, and 'convince' Mr. Bush to get off his high horse.
I'd evacuate the ISS and blow it up, just for the fun of it.
And I'd install Antartic Penguins as the unquestioned lord and masters of earth, answerable only to me.

Voyager summed up in 1 quote:

Vymp: They aren't accurate enough.
I assume I have sufficient AM for 7 years (Voy managed), or more.
Firstly, refit it with cloaking device. If neccesery replicate the one from ToS. The treaty of Algeron won't be signed for centuries, and I'm not a fed citizen
Do the same with the captain's yaght.
Learn fed level science (but with modern principles intact).
Send the ship out to the Oort cloud to establish a base (using transporters and replicators) and a shipyard there. Then a good distance away an AM production facility.
Meanwhile, I land the yaght and decloak it outside Wong's house. Then ask him to assist in the refit of the ship designs to be reasonably safe.
Then, once that's done, have the Oort cloud manufactury build new ships and androids for other SD.netters:
Subject to my approval of course.

Nova = People I don't entirely trust, but contribute greatly to the board.
Raven = Mass produced as rational member's personal ships.
Type 9 Shuttles = Others who should have transport.
Nebula = Misc
Though the androids will still be loyal to me..
An android army will be constructed using weapons based on Guinan's rifle and Soran's pistol (El-aurians have the best guns) as the basic weapons, though the HAB will be placed in charge of developing effective combined arms.
More to come

Those of you who do not choose to serve in the glorious Terran Empire will, in time, be allowed to move (with families if you wish) to holo ships as seen in ST:Insurrection, which will (once the empire captures it and eliminates the Sonar and the Ba'ku) be sent to the briar patch where you can live as long as you wish in eternal youth.
The empire will also develop android bodies for it's members, (replete with emotion chips if at all possible) once they die, or rather, approach death.
We've seen what a small number of people with tech can do in ST (the So'na) With android tech we could dominate the Alpha Quadrant.
The empire will then attempt to build a once piece prometheus -like class ship of the line, and will produce Defiant class ships. War Galaxies will also be constructed by our ever expanding ship yards.
Weapons and technology forbidden by the federation will be researched.

Heh
Here, have a raven.
Oh, BTW, everything else would get a cloak too.
And beam Darkstar up, give him the tour and send him back with nothing to prove it...
Who thinks Wong may give rise to new rumours of alien anal probing with his Ambassador/Galaxy?

that is an odd pick of ships you are using.... the Griffin, Yeager and Raven aren't exactly the most widely(or well known) used in Trek. The Griffin and Yeager are just kitbashed Intrepids and the Raven looks like a big runabout. I figured you would have used more well know ships like the Constitution, Miranda, Galaxy, Saber, Steamrunner, Akira, or even the NX class.NecronLord wrote: Then, once that's done, have the Oort cloud manufactury build new ships and androids for other SD.netters:

Anyway I personally would just use the ship and it's resources for bounty hunting. First people I would locate is Bin Laden and Saddam to turn over to the U.S. authorities.
Guinan had a rifle when? Don't get me wrong I believe you if you say she had one, but I am just asking because the only weapon I can remember her ever weilding was a fork when she stabbed Q in the hand once.An android army will be constructed using weapons based on Guinan's rifle and Soran's pistol (El-aurians have the best guns) as the basic weapons, though the HAB will be placed in charge of developing effective combined arms.
Can you provide a picture of the rifle? I remember Soran's pistol so I know what it looks like.

Smooth progression of sizes really. Whim. these are prestige ships. the actual warships of my new empire are mentioned elsewhere.
It vapes metal. It also had a green pulse IIRC, it may come from the same place as Soran's pistol. It had halfway decent ergonomics.STAR TREK: "Night Terrors" - REV. 12/19/90 - ACT FIVE 52.
108 GILLESPIE AND CROWD
GILLESPIE
I say... Captain owes us some
answers... let's go...
They surge again toward the door, but this time, they
see --
109 GUINAN (OPTICAL)
standing in front of the door... holding a massive
weapon in her hands -- the 24th Century equivalent of
a shot gun.
GUINAN
Hold it.
The group slows but keeps coming.
GILLESPIE
What's that... ?
GUINAN
It's a little souvenir I picked
up on Magus Three...
GILLESPIE
Stand aside, Guinan... I'm not
feeling so good and I don't have
much patience...
He steps forward and Guinan raises the weapon, fires
over their heads... a huge FLARE blossoms out,
suggesting massive firepower.
GUINAN
That's setting number one.
(beat, while they absorb
this)
Now...
(adjusts the setting)
... anybody want to see number two?

I'll take the Raven, a nice ship to fit my needs, as I move to Baku with perfect health.
I would also pick up friends and family that wish to live in paradise.
I'd also make certain valuable items that are on Earth suddenly 'disappear' and appear in my cargo hold. I would then land the Raven on the perfect spot on Baku, and unpack and be happy for the rest of time.

I'm recruiting a core of reliable exploration-minded types. Then we'll go exploring for a few years. When we return, we'll park behind the moon and use the ship's resources to forment a quiet takeover of the planet.Col. Crackpot wrote:Solid Snake's thread gave me an idea.....Picture this. And I think I would also add the TR-116 rifle (as seen in DS9) to that equipment list of yours.

I'd give a shuttle to most of the world powers that I like, and give the ship to the US Government. I'd keep the Captain's Yacht and a shuttle or two for myself.

I'd rig the holodecks together with the transporters and replicators to create a genetic engineering and cloning lab. Then I'd create a bunch of dragons with shield generators and then release them over Saudi Arabia. Their primary mission would be to kill militant fundies and amass all the worlds' specie and jewels in a giant pile.

What do I need with a Sovereign that I can't do in a shuttle? Besides, ST shuttles are fairly bulletproof, while capships tend to be less so. I'd rather be in a warp-capable shuttle.

I'd fly the ship low over earth to freak people out. If I can figure out how to make a 'holographic cloak' (cloak the ship and have it look like something else at the same time), I'd be doing fly over's with lots of different looking ships, including the Death Star....
After that, I hail the world, tell it to surrender, and get to work on my new palace..... Deliver a list of hot woman the world over I want delievered, and to demonstrate what I will do if they are not delievered alive and in good health, fire a Qauntum Torpedoe into the Anarctic to blow up a large amount of terrain and tractor beam it up. If that doesn't convince them to move quickly, well, kiss a county good-bye. Probably South Africa or Iran.
Either that, or I come up with a better plan when it's not after midnight and I haven't slept in 2 days (lol)
