Okay, the caption on the photo is not from me it was sent to me that way.
I think the picture is cool looking but does anyone know if the caption is true or if the picture looks like it was faked?
Judging by the vapor by the intact to his port engine the aircraft looks to be going rather fast, although there's no blurring in the photo?

They're acting way too calm and relaxed for people who unexpectedly see a jet fighter go screaming by right in front of them.
If that happened to you, would you be calmly standing 20-30 feet away from the fighter with your hands behind your back?
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier

Look at the people on deck.

Nope. That was one of the things I thought seemed wrong with it. There was the possibility that he rolled it sideways too quickly for the to react in the picture but....
I'm more surprised that he was only grounded for a month. That doesn't seem quite long enough if he's as close to the ship as he looks.

You can see some blurring around the edges of the aircraft..
The big reason why I'm considering it a fact is because the plane is very damn close to the people. Can you imagine what would happen to those poor joes in the backwash of the plane??
If you look really close at the fighter, you can see lines around it showing that the image was placed.

Obvious fake. The pilot would suffer a rather worse punishment among other things, and those men would be diving for cover.

Not to mention if the plane was going fast enough to not only be on its side at that altitude, but getting the vapour happening - and with it being that damn close to the people, well, lets just say that they would have all been on their arse a few short moments after that pic was taken.
Also the angle of the Tomcat is moving slightly towards the camera. It looks like, if it were real, the wing would slam into the edge of the deck, around the area where it says "Aircraft carrier". Then of course, after the wing hit, the nose would pitch down, and burry it's self into the deck, and then, well you get the picture.
