DiabloII 1.10 BETA PATCH right now!!!!

Post by Hamel »

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

A LOT of changes.

One change: Getting one skill can affect your other skills in some way. hence, your skills become interdependent and each complements another.

Blood Raven has a % chance to make your minions flee now :o

I made an elementalist/hunter druid and man, the game is hard now

Don't even think of trying players 8. If you do, then chances are den of evil will own you. And yes, I'm talking about normal.

There's quite a few problems with the beta. Many synergies don't display on the skills tab yet.

This is Blizzard...if something isn't patched at least 9 times...it's not one of their products.

God, Ghost is gonna be funny...given it's a console game and one really can't patch one so easily...if at all.

Because blizzard care about making sure their games are of the highest quality for the user ;)

They've not released a patch yet for diablo 2 that hasn't made it better

Because blizzard doesn't do nearly enough testing before hand and are now far too realiant on hype to drive games. I would rather play the worst game of TA or C&C of my life then the best game of Warhammer 3. I mean honestly, does blizzard not learn from its past mistakes.

Warhammer's latest rules incarnation annoys me....but since its a GW product not a Blizzard one I fail to see the connection....

Oh, unless you mean WarCraft 3....

I played Diablo 2 version 1.0, straight out of the box, all the way through to the end without noticing any bugs. They're NOT patching due to the game being incomplete at release. Most of the patches have had to do with balancing multiplayer combat, adding features, and adjusting the game's difficulty.

I know what you mean I play the game though to the end with each char and never had a problem with it once

If you beat Warcraft 3 (uhh...spoiler)it shows a demo of what Starcraft would be like on the War3 engine, among other things. The zerglings, firebats, marines, zealots, and (whatever's 1 step above the zerglings, can't remember name...damnit) look very nice using Warcraft 3. I once tried to make a map where you could control the SC units, but it's near-impossible.

Why are you so damn bitter about Blizzard?

Diablo 2 was excellant out of the box and most of the bugs were fixed within the first few patches. Everything else has been constant improvement.

Honestly Blizzard is probably one of the best video game companies in existence right now. The amount of meticulous care and dedication for testing during developments is quite impressive.

Alf, spanky, where are the pretty anime girls.
As for me being bitter about blizzard. When i was playing starcraft I was ticked at the number of patches but i thought all games had to have that many patches.
Then i got Battlefield 1942, a game that was admittedly rushed into production. So far after 1 year of realease and an expansion pack there have been a total of 3 patches. All of which where rather unnessassary and mostly fixed network bugs and just made the game look better.
The fact that starcraft had like 17 or something patches and seemingly a new patch every week to fix some bug that the previous patch made was annoying. And looking back a sign of poor testing. Simple things like the shear uselessness of certain units and the horrible manuel without 5 incorrect unit descriptions should never have made it through.
Diablo was good. I will say that I enjoyed diablo and diablo 2 a lot, even though they were alittle boring there were good and most of the patches were quite good. The indecision of Blizzard on things such as gambling was annoying but generally acceptable.
And Warcraft 3, it is warcraft 2 with pretty graphics and 2 more teams. This is 5 or so years after warcraft 2 and thats all they could do. I was so horribly disapointed after playing 15 or so games at my friends house that i just went out and bought another 2 games instead ( I think the homeworlds). I had rather low expectations and was still let down.

I would of downloaded it as soon as I saw it if it was not for the fact that over my recent "vacation"(not very fun or relaxing) I got Civiliztion 3, and that you can't play on b.net. And Hamel, if you are on the D2 team(I need to dig it up), does that mean your off it?

I heard they want Diablo 3 out before Starcraft 2.

I'm going to lock myself in my room (with Mountain Dew and noodle cups in massive supply) and refuse to come out until SC2 is released.

Now, did you actually play Warcraft II? The reason I'm asking is because you seem to be under the impression that it contained two distinct races.
