What are some of your favorite manga? What manga do you wanna see brought over to the US? If you could create your own manga, what would you do? I'm kinda in the mood for a big manga discussion.

Two series I 've have read and enjoyed.
Outlanders: Mike would almost have a shit fit from all of organic tech used in it. There's also the indecent posing with giant insect-like creatures.
Caravan Kid: the tankers would probably hate this one because of all of the poor tanks being destroyed by bikini-clad, sword wielding android.

Violinist of Hameln - but no american company would ever pick it up
Slam Dunk - it's a basketball manga, it might do well if it gets brought over
My own manga would be a Hameln/Post-saiyan saga DB crossover

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

The series (with the exception of the last two episodes, which are turds) is awesome, too.Captain_Cyran wrote:I really need to get my hands on some Hellsing...Connor MacLeod wrote:Hellsing.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Pretty much any kind of manga, you can find here....you just need a friend who can read Chinese / Japanese to translate it for you.

A guy on another board has some problem with the Tokyopop Kare Kano manga, but has yet to expound on it.

You can tell when they say things that just don't sound right. Either modernised, Americanised, or such.
Such as Keitaro importing Neverwinter Nights at least a year before it actually came out (when the box he's holding is clearly some kind of sequel game), making Tamiya sound like he's boarderline retarded, etc...
Most of that kind of stuff is really difficult to find when your not reading the manga. When you have the volumes right out in front of you, they're easier to pinpoint.

well,
Blade of the Immortal is just amazing. The graphic work of this manga have no other similar.
Kenshin manga is very good, much superior to the animated series.
Card Captor Sakura manga is pretty good also.
Ranma 1/2 is great, also superior to the animation.
Oh!My Goddess is also very good.
