It's also in 2 Chronicles 4:2.

And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it about. (I Kings 7, 23)

I had a really stupid debate about that the other day with 1SuperJesusFreak, who does not understand that no matter how big a cubit is, pi should not come out as 3.0

It was merely because the idiot said that he didn't believe it was in the Bible, but that if it was he would accept it as true, after all, "3 is close enough".

To which I said that he knows jackshit about mathmatics.

Technically the cubit was a somewhat elastic unit, never rigidly defined.

But then it only matters if you're a dumbfuck who takes the Bible literally.

You think that would work in a GCSE or A Level? When you get a D you could say "This test conflicts with my religious beliefs and therefore you are a heretic and must be burned at the stake."
