Just got a Western Digital 120GB hard drive (7200RPM, 8MB cache) for $111 that I don't have.

This, after I slowly started to become convinced that my Maxtor was merely overheating

Oh well. That's an extra 80 gigs of space for shit I don't need

Blah, those were 95 bucks after rebate at my local Circuit City awhile ago...

Now you can put every program you own on the HD with space still left over!

I have three 20 GB, one 5 GB, and one 8 GB (came from my X-Box) HDs, but no comp to put them in... THat reminds me, need to check the price on the motherboard I'm gonna buy...

This is why it's more convenient to have one huge HD than two small ones. I know you can buy 180GB drives already, and bigger ones too IIRC.

PS. For those who mention porn, a HD is actually a poor storage location for porn. If it fails, you lose your entire collection at once, and you can only watch it while seated at your computer, ie- alone. It's better to burn it onto DVD-Rs so you can watch it on a regular TV in your bedroom while giving your wife the meatstick.
