G.I. Joe question

Post by Dalton »

I seem to remember several GI Joe episodes where they had to find these three elements to complete some ultimate weapon. One of those was deuterium/heavy water. What were the other two?

Hmm, I cannot remember anybody dying in any episode.

Well, apparently Cobra Commander was a nicer guy then was presented, I mean, who else would hire the blind to work for him?

No, but they killed an assload of Cobra in the movie. While none of their deaths are visible, they are clearly infered (like throwing a Cobra off of the statue of liberty of sinking their attackboats in massive explossions). Duke was also supposed to die in that movie but they redubbed the line and put him in a coma.

People died in the comic book all the time--was quite bloody.

I remember deaths being implied in the tv cartoon, though not often. One was when a bunch of Cobras were on a catwalk, and the Joes shot off the supports, and you see the catwalk fall (from a distance) into a cloud of dust. Since the fall was about 30 feet, you'd have to bet some of them got killed.

I also remember one episode where they were in a swamp, and they stranded two cobras on a little rock, and several alligators started climbing up the rock towards them. It cut away, but you had to infer...

And then there was an early one where you saw some getting wounded by laser blasts, but doesn't show them actually getting killed.

Other than that, yeah, everybody always ejected or jumped out of the way or whatever.

Jack Chick is never accurate. it sounds more like Hillary Clinton Historical Accuracy.

Its funny that nobody had any aim because GI joe and cobra commander were supposed to be like the ellite of the elite soldiers and junk.

... and i remember buildings getting destroyed and vehicles blowing up all the time ( i.e. ships sinking and what not ) but soldiers would parachute out of them everytime ...

but the comic was bloody

Oh yeah:
Remember Cobra Commander in a later episode of Transformers? That mysterious masked/hooded guy helping the Decipticons? More funny!

Cobra, on the other hand, were terrorists - and are they ever expected to be as well-trained as "qualified" military troops?
