The funniest thing about DU is the way a lot of the posters pat each other on the back on the 'quality' of their posts and the 'logic' therein.
Don't get me wrong, there are some good posters over there.
However, for the most part they're a bunch of raving loonies who couldn't win a debate against the average 7 year old.
DU is like the Free Republic board that they complain about a lot, complete to both boards censoring posts and banning members whose politics differ slightly from that of the mods.
Hell, Mike ought to sign up over there. I'd be interesting to see how long he lasts before he gets banned and his posts deleted.
Despite all the drawbacks of the DU forums, I read them from time to time because it's fascinating how some of these people think. Kind of like watching a train wreck, I guess.
