SD.Net Cliques

Post by Stravo »

We were discussing this at lunch today, that our firm has three very distinct cliques in the litigation dept headed up by a powerful partner and his synchophnatnts....well....friends I mean.

Anyway as I'm looking through the board I wonder if SD.Net has certain cliques that I am generally unaware of but others might see. By clique I mean a certain group of posters that either respond to each other all the time or form alliances in debates that kind of thing.

The virgins, and the non-virgins.
The ones who know, and the ones who are too young.

Depends immensely at who is attacking what...some people join up to spam, other to crush and some just to simply observe.

Then there's just the knick-knack stuff that goes about wherein no one really attacks anyone and it's just a discussion of tastes and ideas.

We form bonds depending on these situations...some stronger then other but nonetheless there.

The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Though I guess we're more of a "cabal" than a clique.

I respond to anyone who makes me laugh, which is pretty much most of the board. Then there's the occasional time when someone says something I find offensive or puzzling, to which I will answer as well.... So I don't really feel like I'm cliquey. *shrugs* Whatev.

The Fivers as well...

And yes, I accept that one Imperial Star Destroyer could take on the entire massed Earth Alliance fleet, maybe even the ISA, and fully expect to win.

After all, JMS isn't about uberwank tech (well neither is Star Wars!), it's about a good story. 8)
