Gain Gator uninstall?

i´ve got this extremely annoying advertising program gator installed on my computer which keeps posting me pop ups when i surf the web. how can i get rid of it?

i tried to unistall it but whenever i hit the uninstall button the program tells me to get rid of all the gain supported programms on my computer first. then it shows me list of gain supported programs. the list consists of nothing because i dont have any of these programs installed.

what can i do to get rid of that piece of shit?

Or download one of the anti spyware programs listed here and run it. I think that'll do the trick. While you're at it, install the other applications listed. They're all very useful.

Basically, in your computer you should have:

A good antivirus (for example, AVG)
Kerios firewall or similar
A popup stopper
A spyware blaster and removal program

That'll keep your computer clean.
