Frasier
I see a bit of conversation about sitcoms and the like on this board, but rarely do I ever see the name Frasier come up, so it got me thinking, what does sd.net think about Frasier, do they find it witty, or like many people I know, do they find it over their heads?
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"
- A.B. Original, Report to the Mist
"I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."
- George Carlin

Re: Frasier
When I catch it on, I usually end up watching. Not something I remember to watch every time it's on but I'll watch it if I click on it. It's a high brow sitcom, something we need more of if you ask me.Gandalf wrote:I see a bit of conversation about sitcoms and the like on this board, but rarely do I ever see the name Frasier come up, so it got me thinking, what does sd.net think about Frasier, do they find it witty, or like many people I know, do they find it over their heads?
I love it, however it isn't a show that I make room for or make sure to tape. No sitcom is for me, but I love how they combine pompus intellectualism with slap stick and wit!

One of the local stations carries Frasier reruns at midnight. I usually watch it if I'm not doing something else.
Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.--Ada Louise Huxtable, "Farewell to Penn Station", New York Times editorial, 30 October 1963

At times, yes. At times, no. Abstain.
