Batman VS Spiderman

This is comic Spiderman, with the artificial webbing, and no sidekicks for either.

If the battle just starts cold, with no prep time, most likely Spiderman is going to win. Batman is the best but Spiderman has survived against people with powers and toys and the desire to kill him, who planned to kill him. Heck, he trashed all of the X-Men by himself once (Secret Wars I). Batman is going to have a very tough time beating Spiderman with what he normally packs in his utility belt. It's not impossible for him to win though.

Now if there's prep time envolved Batman has a pretty good chance against just about anyone. Still, Spiderman's "Spidersense" really works well as a character shield.

Definately Spider-Man. Batman fans' favorite argument is that with prep-time, he could take anyone down. I've seen this prep-time argument being used against everyone from Spider-man to Superman. But why does the scenario have to be set with everything in Batman's favor? Why can't the other guy be the one doing the hunting? In a straight-up fight, there is no way Batman could win. How's he gonna go HTH with a guy who can press 10 tons?

Spider-man has super strength, agility, spider sense. Batman is simply really fast for a human. Sorry but Batman gets slapped around like a red-headed step child

He trashed Superboy in the DC/Marvel crossover. So, i'll have to go with Spiderman.

In one of the old JL magazines (Anyone know it?) batman had a prepped and sure-fire way to take out each of the other members...and no doubt himself, should they ever go insane. Give Batman prep and he's undefeated, no prep it goes to Spidey.

Wizard has those head to head fights. I think they had Batman vs Daredevil. Batman used sonic disruptor of some sort to fuck with him. Last year I think it was, they showed Spiderman going against a bunch of people. Needless to say, if Batman can have prep time he can beat ALMOST anyone. If he doesn't know about spider sense, which would be doubtful, then even his preperations wouldn't save him. Spiderman, Spiderman, kicks your ass, then you kick the can.

Why is it always assumed that Bats would have "prep time" to plot to hunt down and destroy his foes? Given enough prep time, anyone can take anyone, unless there is a great disparity between the two sides. Why can't Spider-man be given time to observe and learn about Batman's strengths and weaknesses, while Batman unwittingly waits for his ass to be kicked?

One has to ask. How can Batman; even if given time to plan, do anything to overcome Spidersense?

How many people even know Spiderman has this 6th sense for danger? Venom knows for obvious reasons, also the Goblin knows though I don't know how he knows.

If you had a 6th sense for danger would you tell anyone? Heck no, you would keep it a pretty close secret so that people would not try to learn how to avoid it.

Because Batman would make it go into his favor. You think he can't ditch Spiderman?

There was one issue where Parker explained his powers to some dying kid. He mentioned how his spidersense doesn't tell him what is coming, only that something is coming. Spidersense is more of a reflex than anything else.

Sipderman's been ambushed before. He's been hit before. He's taken blows before. Everyone treats spidersense as if it's some sort of "Uber-hands-off" shield that makes it impossible for ANYTHING to hit 'im.

Basically, all Batsy has to do is watch Spidey, observe his behavior and figure out what he does, how he does it, and find a way to predict it. Batsy wouldn't be the first person to have done this.

Again, why is it assumed that Batman can safely observe Spidey and go into the fight on his own terms, while Spider-man is totally clueless as to what is going on? Why can't Spider-man be stalking Batman?

Batman's most powerful weapon is his mind. His body is strong and quick, and he's mastered a list of martial art styles a mile long.He has a wifty-nifty utility belt.

Take it all away from him and he still has his mind.Don't get me wrong, Spider-man's no dummy, and if this competition is a bench-pressing contest, Spidey will win it every time. But the reason that things are "always slanted in Batman's favor" is that Batman does his homework, and prepares ahead of time.Got a guy with spider-sense and super reflexes giving you a hard time?Know before you start that you can't match his speed or strength? Inject yourself with the antidote ahead of time and drop one of Scarecrow's fear-gas bombs at your feet when the Wall-Crawler gets close. Spidey has to breathe, and can't dodge gas. This is just an example; Batman has taken on people with wayyyyyy more super-powers than him many many many times before. He's got the experience, the cunning, and the equipment to take spider-man down, one way or another.

Bottom line: Experience and treachery will win out over youth and spider-senses every time.If Batman can take on the Man of Steel, he can take on Spider-man.

The Midnighter?

No, that would be too cruel...

Batman would win this, He would be better prepared, and would know his enemy better.
