When the thing was going on, I heard from the radio that when the police found her she kept denying that it was her. Sounds like she was brainwashed. Of course to have been brainwashed when you're taken at knifepoint is another matter.

Still, at many points (such as the parties), she wasn't at knifepoint, and could've whispered to someone to help her.

That wasn't my point. I believe she was brainwashed so it wasn't really a matter of just slipping away.
