We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day, sunny, cool enough so we wouldn't sweat too much and no wind to slow our progress. We biked along the lakeshore and the seldom used service roads before cutting through the city of Hamilton and continuing on our way. There's just so much you don't see from the highways, the flowers, trees, the fresh smell of country air & vegetation, it was so different! We stopped for lunch somewhere around Grimsby before taking the scenic route into wine country where we took a mini-tour of a vineyard and bought a few bottles of wine (& my BF had a bit too much to drink

And almost 8 hours after we left Toronto we finally arrived at Niagara Falls and we were actually feeling pretty good. Like good tourists we wandered along the river and watched the falls (which looked rather anemic today) for a while before riding down the river a bit to the Whirlpool. This is where the river takes a sharp bend and the water swirls around in a huge whirlpool. After enjoying the sights we headed off to the Casino to catch a bus ride home. Me and Sandra had to do some fast talking to convince the bus driver to take our bikes back for free, the guy wanted to charge us $30 apiece extra to transport our bikes back home but we sweet talked him out of it.

And so an hour & half later we were back in Toronto after our amazing & beautiful bike ride to Niagara, and once the wine is nice & chilled we'll be having a nice celebration to congratulate ourselves on a job well done. Yay to us!
