Toronto G3 Concert Meet Anyone?
Going through my concert listings, I noticed that there's a G3 concert in Toronto on November 6. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen will be shredding away on their guitars at Massey Hall that day, it should be a fun concert. I've wanted to see Satch play live for a long time now so I'm ordering up tickets as soon as they go on sale this Friday. If anyone in the Toronto area is interested in seeing the concert let me know soon so I can order up the tickets. Ticket prices are 45-55 bucks, plus the Ticketmasterbater rape charges whatever they are.

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

I would go, but it's extremely difficult for me to get out for an evening because of the kids. Rebecca and I probably aren't going to go out for an evening until ROTK comes out.

I went to G3 last year (or was it the year before?) in Pennsylvannia. I met (and go the autographs of) Joe Satrani, Steve Vai, and John Petrucci.
Steve Vai dropped my concert flier/bill/whatever you call it that I was getting autographed. Then he picked it up and apologized ALOT. I think he was afraid of me or something. (I'm close to 6 foot 5.) It was pretty funny.

I can usually get discount tickets from a contact I have in the president of Assiniboine Tickets & Tours...but....
Nah, won't be going. Ottawa to Toronto isn't far, but I'll save it until a BIG SD.net meet happens down there. Say, ROTK or the next Star Wars movie or something.

Tempting...
Nov 6th is right after my birthday too.
Problem is, I hate going to concerts without a date![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
Oh well, I'll wait to RoTK
Oh, in the even to of a SD.net RoTK gathering if people ask nicely, I'll bring my old Trek ship guides. Much fun to read over, and better then anything B&B ever cooked up.
(and then we can laugh at how pathetic the show is compared to the game, lol!)

It's not like I'm gonna have a date either, hell, my GF will be on the other side of the world by then. Besides, concerts are still fun even if you don't have a chick to go with.Solauren wrote:Tempting...

I might be interested in seeing Yngwie Malmsteen...I'm supposed to be flying to Vancouver sometime around then, i'll have to check out my schedule.
and hey, there aint nothing wrong with going to concerts without a girl. Hell, i've only been to two or three with a chick, but then it could be my heavy metal preference that attracts almost entirly male audiences. Concerts are male bonding experiences!

I'll swallow your soul!
Sounds good, just let me know by this Friday so I know how many tickets to order up. I want to get the good padded seats in the lower balcony if I can, not the painful wooden seats in the upper balcony which'll make your ass feel like it's been violated.zombie84 wrote:I might be interested in seeing Yngwie Malmsteen...I'm supposed to be flying to Vancouver sometime around then, i'll have to check out my schedule.
