the national soccer team qualified for the European Championship with a 3 : 0 ageinst island, michael schumacher got his 6th world champion title in formula one and the women soccer team is champion of the world.

naw, i want another semi finals against england like the one at the EURO 96. when that moron southgate sent the ball straight at köpke, the keeper in the penalty thingy and andi möller tipt the ball into your goal with ease. football really came home that night.
even the queen thought southgate was a dumbass while handing out congrats to kunz. bwahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!

Poor Sweden though - lost twice against Germany in the finals of a championship through a golden goal.

And frankly, if England can't get their act together, then we'll be heading for an early shower next year, I only heard the recent game on Radio 5 online (who arent particularly good at the whole semi-impartial commentary that the BBC A-team can do so well), but wasn't impressed. Only the Lichtenstien game actually featured England playing well IMO, and they were hardly public enemy no.1. Still, I suppose a game against Turkey is always going to stressful on the team.

Still, listening to the game from 9000km away has to be some sort of record... :)

Several european teams are a way ahead of germany and england performance
wise. I can't see either team winning againt france or the czech republic at the
moment.

i actually couldn´t see vfb winning against manchester united in the champions league game and we KICKED THEIR ASSES!!!! YEEEEEEEHAW!!!! that was the best and most nerve ripping game i´ve seen since the world championship finals.
we won against the richest fussball club on earth, nananannaaaaanana!!!
