Very clever. I like it.

The string is "Now Hiring\0", or simply a null-terminated "Now Hiring" string in ASCII.

The last character has to be a #0 to terminate the string, or else we technically won't know what a printf("%s", msg); would output.

So they're obviously hiring programmers since that's just standard C/C++ code... and apparently those with either digital cameras or instant recognition of ASCII codes since they'd be expected to decode that while driving. (Or maybe just a running laptop at their side to punch it into.)

I wonder how many compiled it and output the string instead of ALT+0###ing the numbers into Notepad?

I saw this on another board about a week ago. Yes, some people wrote a short C program with that to figure out the message. It is clever, though.
