OK, here's the problem:
My CDRW drive hasn't worked properly since yesterday, when I was using a CD my flatmate had made, which was unfinished.
Since then, I have only been able to open that drive whle my computer is rebooting. It reads fine, but just won't register that I've asked it to open.
I've had this problem before, but it went away when I uninstalled Roxio. I've since installed Pinnacle, with no apparent problems
I've obviously tried SUAR (shut up and reboot), as the drive only opens during the reboot process.
I've uninstalled Pinnacle, and reinstaleld when that didn't solve it.
I've pressed the main button on the dirve, used a paperclip to try and get the emergency open button, and tried ejecting using Windows Explorer.
I'm using a Compaq, with WinXP. It's just over a year old, and it's all the original hardware, except for my TV card (which I've had for longer than the computer).
