WTC Memorials
As you all may or may not have heard on the news, the Port Authority of NY & NJ have come up with six concepts for memorials/replacements for the World Trade Center. I am curious as to what you think of them, and which ones would you prefer to see.
The six concepts are:
Memorial Plaza
Memorial Square
Memorial Triangle
Memorial Garden
Memorial Park
Memorial Promenade

I think there should be a park with a 911 foot tall tower with the names of all the people who died in the attacks, and 2 even taller, better looking, better designed towers than can withstand such an impact that destroyed the WTC towers. About one-fifth of all the offce space in lower Manhattan was destroyed or damaged in the 9-11 attacks, and the destroyed office space needs to be rebuilt. And a historically correct memorial to all the firefighters that risked their lives rescuing people form the towers, and then didn't sue afterwards.

I'll go with Square on this one
Memorial Plaza
Is Decent but the odd building out just does not look right
Memorial Square
Kinda flows in, keeping the green while having a three story walk-way thingy around it I kinda like
Memorial Triangle
Messy looking, very messy looking
Memorial Garden
My Second choice but the walkway around tugged me to Square, its ok
Memorial Park
To much crowding of the buildings to accomdate the park and I know there will be pretty KEEP OF THE GRASS signs everywhere if they did this
Memorial Promenade
Lopsided but has potentional

Rebuild the towers.
Part of it's my practical side, which knows the dead are, well, dead.
But part of it's a big FUCK YOU! to Osama and his pals. You can destroy our towers, but we will build them again! You can hit our homeland, but we will always be there!

Unfortunately rebuilding the towers is unpractical and not one of the options. However, we could lobby the port authority to actually paint a giantSirNitram wrote:Rebuild the towers.
