Hoon is being interrogated right now and Blair has shown ignorance in thinking, or rather, being told the infamous 45-minute warning was not for WMDs but for tactical weapons on the warfront.

I wonder, with all of this between Bush and Blair if there was some very willfull ignorance in the whole Iraq job. Esp when Powell and Rice both said that Iraq was not a threat before the Iraq war.
One also has to like the admission of intel failure after the event
Via money Europe could become political in five years" "... the current communities should be completed by a Finance Common Market which would lead us to European economic unity. Only then would ... the mutual commitments make it fairly easy to produce the political union which is the goal"

It wasn't so much intel failure, more like intellect failure of the warmongers in Whitehall and the White House. They misinterpreted, either by accident or on purpose, the info given them.

exactly..hence the rolly eyes thingy. I simply do not beleive that you can, at that level, be so ignorant as to the difference of WMDs and conventional weaponry. Defence ministry officials would have very explicet about walking ministers through Iraqi weapons capability.
