pig fam mass murderer coverage banned in Canada

at least 31 bodies have been dug up so far. Body parts were also found in a wood chipper and were apparantly used as pig feed. Evidently Canadian government has barred the domestic media from covering the story.

Brick Top: You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together.
Sol: Would someone mind telling me, who are you?
Brick Top: And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig."

Actually, I'm aware of this case and of all the dead prostitutes, and I live in Canada. I guess Fox News' "fair and balanced" report was full of shit again, like usual.
PS. Just so you know, publication bans like this usually involve more specific details of the case for the duration of the trial in order to avoid jury tainting; the very generalized information is still made public. So all of the papers have written about the farmer asshole in BC who went around murdering dozens of prostitutes; they just haven't been giving us a lot of detail.

You're talking about an organisation that thinks it owns the copyright to the phrase "Fair and balanced".Darth Wong wrote:Actually, I'm aware of this case and of all the dead prostitutes, and I live in Canada. I guess Fox News' "fair and balanced" report was full of shit again, like usual.
Fox News is a joke in the news world.
The media blackout is done so it doesn't turn into a fucking OJ Simpson media frenzy. It's been done for quite some time here, and only for certain high profile cases.
aerius: I'll vote for you if you sleep with me.
Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

I believe the most recent news article on the subject was the discovery of 9 more bodies. Interestingly enough, despite Fox's claims, you can find a news article on it at the Canoe.ca website.
I think the funniest part of the Fox article is where they say "Click here for a fair and balanced report by Fox News' Dan Springer." When someone keeps harping on his own fairness, it strikes me as a warning that he's being totally unfair

I had Fox on in the background while working on something and for a moment I got a flash of the news network that played during the Starship Troopers movie. Very eerie.Darth Wong wrote:I believe the most recent news article on the subject was the discovery of 9 more bodies. I'd heard about this months ago, I recall.
It was pretty brutal. What I remember getting the most attention out of it was PETA, always willing to lower themselves for a cause.

I saw that the other night, and it had me thinking that Canada has the right idea. Does the public really need to know every last gruesome detail of a murder, especially when the next step is some murdering hatfucker's defense attourney arguing that they can't get a fair trial because of media exposure? (I'm thinking of Peterson here.)

The media does keep a watchful eye on law enforcement. Someone needs to police the police.beyond hope wrote:I saw that the other night, and it had me thinking that Canada has the right idea.
