Why does my PC fucking restart for no reason?
Why does my PC just randomly decide to shut off and restart? How can I disable it? Thanks. It's pissing me off.

What version of Windows are you using first off?

Windows XP, by default, restarts when it bue screens. This means you have drivers fucking up, or some hardware is on the way out.
The disable it:
Right Click on "My Computer"-> Properties -> Advanced -> Setup & recovery settings -> Untick "Automatically restart" under the 'system failure' actions.
I recomend doing memory tests & check to see if you harddrive is starting to fail (any bad sectors or SMART fails, replace the drive ASAP)

For the memory test; memtest86, instructions on page.Superman wrote:OK, thank you. How can I do those tests?
For harddrive tests; Lookup the 'name' of your harddrive by going:
Right Click on "My Computer"-> Properties -> Hardware-> Device Manager. Then expand 'disk drives', and copy out the name of your drive(post it here if you want me to find a link to the manufactore's hhd checking software). Sometimes you can figure out the manufactore from the name.
Or open the case up and have a look at the drive to get the manufactorer's name.
Plug that into google and see if you can find the manufactores website. Then its a matter of digging through that website to find the diagnostic tools.
