STGOD 4 Diplomacy Thread(at least for now)

In a tiny pocket of Neutral space in the center of Known Space Diplomatic Station Alpha Prime hung in orbit around the local star. Inside was a seris of halls and security checkpoints, but in the center of the spherical station stood the diplomatic chamber.

Milling around were the representatives of the various powers, this was their first meeting in a standard terran year, and some new powers were among them.

This was the first year the Arcane Empire sent a representaqtive and he teleported in fashionably late.

As the portal behind him closed he stood with four body guards. Two Arcane Archers and Two Mage-Blades. Four guards was all that was permitted to accompany him.

"Astinius Malastaral, Red Robed Arcanist of Hiogh Sorcery at your service"
He bowed courtly, his bright red robes flowed about him like silk(and they were silk, highly enchanted, but silk) billowing in the wind... but there was little air flow in the room.

The Captain checked with the Net, and nodded. <<Just so, Your Grace. We can swallow your delegation over. Proceed to the chamber, please.>>

The delegation went to the chamber, and waited for the teleportation. It was a new way, to be sure. A different approach to what starships used to travel with. Unfortunately very short-ranged, but better than a shuttle he thought. Yet it still was nowhere as comfortable as a Gate would have been...

He felt his stomach lurch as the gravitic forces ripped open a small wormhole in space around them, and when his sight returned, he found himself inside a large chamber, with several other people.

He simply stood there, assessing other people. Several of the present diplomats interestingly assessed them. They were a group to behold. He and his entourage of 4 Marines must have been the single most beatufiul group in the chamber. Looking like they were merely 20 years old, and standing well over 6 feet, there was not a single displeasing feature on their whole bodies. They were perfect.

He cleared his throat, and one of the marines stepped forward, banging the butt of a large metal pole on the floor.
"His Grace Charles Beaufort, Duke of Nethington, Viscount Halssted, at his Imperial Majesty's behest Ambassador of the Grand Empire of Gladsheim, has arrived."

The Krytosian Glory-II class battleship Liberator emerged from hyperspace near the diplomatic station and sent over a shuttle containing an ambassador.

The Titan class, "Marauder II" came out of interphase right next to the station. After protocol was met an assault shuttle left a hanger and trusted over to the station, The Psilon ambassador had arrived, he was a good approximation of grays; tall, grey, large head with large all black eyes and as a rule very inquisitive. Unlike the others who had beamed arbored, he and his few guards came in a shuttle, in the walk to the chamber they observed and recorded everything about the station. Eventually they entered the great chamber and took their seats observing as much as possible the other ambassadors, recording everything.

And shimmering into existence before the rest of the gathering was a long table set with chairs for all present. And at each place was a perfectly roasted and piping hot baby griffon with mashed potatos, gravy, and the most perfect corn one could hope for. Topping it all off was glasses of the finest of white wines

The ambassador from the Republic of Nashtar looked up from his notepad and raised an eyebrow. "Really, threats? Its highly uncustomary for ambassadors to directly threaten their counterparts during negotiation. This bickering is pointless and detrimental to our purpose here."

The Ambassador pulled out a holoprojector and turned it on. Then he turned to the Arcane Ambassador

"Not quite as flashy as magic, but it does the job."

The Ambassador turned to adress the room.

"This is the Cration system. The KSE is setting up colonies on all nine worlds of the system. We have terraforming equitment already in place on seven of the colonies, but in the intrest of re-joining the intergalactic economy, we are prepared to offer contracts for the other two to other governments."
