Allowing untold hordes of Mexicans and other South Americans to
swarm across our border, violate our immigration laws, and if they're
caught, merely deposited across the other side of the border, where
they can cheerfully try it again until they get through, and in essence
make a mockery of our immigration laws, while those people who
want to actually LAWFULLY immigrate to this country, get denied their
Visas and generally get the screws put to them by the INS?

(Shep, very annoyed this afternoon, and all for implementing the
HAB objective Migrant Area Denial system consisting of ten
billion Antipersonnel mines to be laid on the US Border with mexico
in ten belts 1km thick each...and all bouncing betties with various
triggers, I don't want them to die instantly, I want them to crawl
across ten klicks of scorching hot desert before expiring cursing
the name of General Dynamics Land Systems, or whoever makes
our bouncing betties)

How does this sound, Shep; any illegal immigrants caught first get knocked out and have a tiny explosive implanted into their heads. When they get deported and try to illegally enter the country again, their heads explode.

How about we just return them to their countries, by shoving them all out
the door of a C-130 at 20,000 feet with their legs all chained together in
batches of 50?

No, we'd just have a shorter boarder to guard against them, though one with even worse terrain as its mostly mountains and jungle. The desert we have now is bad enough, but at least what boarder patrol forces do exist can easily drive across it all and hunt down people with FLIR.

All the Mexicans might be, but a very large chunk of illegal immigrants along the Mexican boarder are not form Mexico, Mexico isn't that bad off compared to the rest of Central American and a big chunk of South America. Immigrants from all those shitholes ahead north through Mexico, as it is now the Mexican Army has a large presence on both the nations boarders, and on there southern boarder there under orders to shoot crossers on sight.

Tis the pickle indeed. The illegals are good business and the legals aren't. Sad, gross, but true. Until a strong stand on illegal immigration coupled with an increase in legal immigration, shit ain't a changing.

As an aside, the state of Yucatan applied for US statehood during the Caste War of 1848...They were denied.
Not a huge source of illegals like Chihuahua and Sonora, Yucutan, but that certainly presents an interesting alternate history concept...

The Mexicans I've known absolutely despise Guatamalans, while talking to a group of them, they told me how it's not unlikely for a car with Guatamalan license plates to catch a Molotov cocktail in Mexico...
