I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

The refutal for an argument like that goes as follows:
Millions of people play violent video games. How come we don't see millions of crazed criminals created by them?

"And, this is largely what some well-known video games do. Make victims into something much less than human. They are killed. Their heads are cut off and blood spurts from their necks.

The dead bodies are kicked and urinated on. The killer laughs at them and makes crude sexual comments. Sex and violence weave into deadly behaviors, over and over."

Exactly which video game lets you piss on dead bodies?

Of course, they fail to mention that Postal 2's over-the-top violence is supposed to be comedic, but then, dishonesty is not unexpected from people who start with a conclusion and then find evidence when doing research.

I was told flightsimming was evil once. I fortunatley havn't talked to that person since.

Yes I can see that learning aviation procedures usefull in the real world, and practicing Radio Transmissions is really bad for the soul.

That said, playing Counterstrike/Day of Defeat etc is pretty fun too. :P

I play postal 2 on a regular basis I usually end the game with scores like "good lord we didn't know this was possible"

you get that when you kill something like 6000 people

but I dont just kill them, I stack the bodies and then light them on fire and laugh. In that game i'm a sick twisted wacko and I love it, yet in real life especially when dealing with other people I'm fairly meak and will avoid a confrontation at almost any cost. Yet deep down inside The evil still smolders waiting for the next night's round of gaming.

same ol' rehashed nonsense, remember in the 40's comic books were considered dangerous. In the 50's it was rock and roll, 60's it was movies, 70's it was television, the 80's it was rap, and heavy metal, 90's it was video games and today it's video games.

In other news, I installed GTA Vice City not so long ago - only to discover that my computer's video card isn't big enough.

Aside from the fact that they don't seem to actually list evidence or specific examples ("most games' seems to be the limit there, don't you just love generalizations?), they seem to treat it as if these games are TARGETED for children. Frankly, if there are parents letting their kids play these games, something should be done about the parents.

I think the Hitman series has actually made me less dangerous. In the event that I do go on a killing spree, I have now been indoctrinated by those games to do so in a quietly, orderly, and well-planned fashion. No random sprays of weapons fire for me, no sir!
