SFC III problem

When I start SFC 3, it says that I dont have directx 8.1 installed, and therefore I cant play. It also says "abnormal program termination" This is wierd because I have directx 9 installed. Can anyone tell me what the deal is for this? I've tried installing SFC 3 and directx countless times, and niether works. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe there is a DirectX 9 fix for SFCIII. Look for that and see if it helps....

...It worked, but now I have a new problem. When the game loads, my computer restarts. God, I hate computers.

I can't help you with that one. Try updating your drivers, other than that it's probably the game itself.
