I was wondering...

I'm considering upgrading my comp from windows 2000 pro to windows xp pro for my windows partition. Is it possible to keep programs and files across said upgrade without burning them to cd/dvd and what would i have to do to do so if it is possible. Also, do you think it's really worth the change regardless of the answer to the above?

Is it worth it? If you're paying for the upgrade, no. If you're not, then knock yourself out. It can't hurt (well, unless one of the many hundreds of things that can always go wrong wioth a Microsoft product go wrong. Of course.)
