I'm applying for the job of Liverpool FC manager

Post by Sothis »

Now that Houlier has finally left, and with the club likely to receive a substantial cash boost soon, I figure I can't do any worse than Houlier did toward the end.

But why should I apply? Well, extensive experience on managerial sims as Liverpool manager have given a great deal of potential experience, though admittedly the lack of a save game feature will make things more interesting. I am confident though, that I can guide the team to glory, by methods tried and tested on manager games- such as, investing in a youth system to track down and sign the best of local and global young talent, and nuturing that talent by having first-team players act as mentors. Older players would get phased out over a period of years, IE, replacing one or two players each season, rather than waiting for the whole team to be on the brink of retiring.

It is upon that basis that I shall submit an application.

It's liek applying to be a pilot because you play flight simulator a lot. I think it's a brilliant idea, but if you even hear back from them (acceptance or denial) I'll be absolutely stunned. Somebody will read it, have a chuckle, and into the bin it goes. Well, I wish you luck.

And why not? Bring in some of the SDNet crowd, should bamboozle the players when their small and suspiciously green team doctor begins to prescribe anal sex before every game... and the things they'll do with the half time oranges... it brings tears to the eyes.

My dad's a Scouser, so no, I'm an LFC fan. By LFC, I don't mean that shite Leeds club either.

Houllier started off good, but it went downhill ages ago. He's just not pulling his weight.
