Trillian and proxy server.

Post by Laird »

I installed trillian on my college terminal, were behind a fire wall on campus... I managed to get icq/aim/yim to function; however, MSN is refusing to work.

this is the error message I get
trillian msn window wrote:*** Creating connection "(email removed)"
*** Disconnecting.
*** Connecting to MSN as "(email removed)", attempt #1.
*** Failed to connect to MSN (10056).
Can anyone help?

MSN initally opens up an SSL connection to authenticate, so you may need to configure your proxy to allow secure connections.

I get that problem a lot. All I do is select Remove Connection, then select Connection Manager, and try to connect again. After 2 or 3 times, it connects. However, if it is something with your firewall, I can't help, cause I don't have one.
