Scanner problem

Does anyone know why my scanner thinks that the module is locked when it is not? I have reinstalled the drivers but that didn't help. I've locked and unlocked the switch repeatedly. Why would it do this?

Often when a periferal does that, and you've reinstalled drivers, it's an issue with the device. It could be that the sensor that detects the status of the lock is not working; if so it is in need of cleaning, replacement, or the like.
