A good sound-editing proggie?
Recommend me a good program that can let me edit sound files (wav's, etc), do stuff like cut paste, delete certain sections of a song, etc.

I use Audacity. It's worked fine for me when I need to record something or edit a sound file.

Nero Wave Editor works fine for me. (even saves directly to mp3)

Logic is one I would definately recommend. It's growing to be one of the more popular tools used in sound composition. Sonar is another. Protools is a good solid system to do that stuff on, but don't bother unless you intend on dropping $450 on an M-Box.

I need to get that.SPOOFE wrote:If you've got cash, I'd say go with Soundforge. Works good enough for me... rather simple and pretty intuitive interface... don't know how much it costs these days, though.
CoolEdit is nice too, but if all you're wanting to do is clip pieces of sounds and stuff, try downloading Goldwave, as you can basically use forever without having to pay for it.

It still takes a long time to get to that.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Actually, the shareware version of GoldWave is limited to 3000 total actions, then it stops working until you purchace a license.
