Aliens vs Predator: 1863

It is 1863, The British Empire is still powerful, France is still Recovering from the Napolianic war, The Yanks are shooting the Southerners, The Czars are still killing pesents for fun and the Chinese are still being run by Retrogressive Emperors who are Royaly fucking up there nation. Meanwhile, in locations in Mexico, France, Virgina, Southern China and south africa, "Meterors" crash land into forest or other wilderness. A small group of 3-4 people are nearby each of them when when this hapens, and they are all go and look at it, seeing a metal object about 20 meters long. They all find doors, open them and find 20, 1 metre tall lethery eggs, and then the facehuggers come out.

As this happens, a Predator ship detects this, but it takes them 5 days to get to Earth. It has 100 hunters abord.

So what happens?

I don't remember this from the movies, but can queens be made from any old person with any old face hugger(like new queens can come from any egg, depending how it is raised in ants), if not it is, best case(assuming the aliens can easily reach civilization, and bring back people for the rest of the eggs, 5 seperate unorginized groups of 20 xenos against 100 trained a properly armed(the aliens would have been owned in AVP had things gone smoothly and the preds picked up the shoulder cannons to start the hunt) at a time. One good predator could do it, with 5 to 1 odds I wouldn't expect any casualties.

Hmm... interesting situation here...

Basically, all of these locations, the rate of propagation of the Aliens depends upon how much humanity is around. For example, in Virginia, the Aliens shouldn't have too much trouble chasing down people (it is the Civil War, after all-- nobody's going to think too much of any MIA soldiers), but if the pod (or whatever) lands deep in the Mexican jungle, they aren't gonna find much except maybe monkeys (simian Aliens? hmm....).

China-- same. Although its population was huge by the standards of the time, it was pretty much all spread out.

Southern Africa-- hmm... much the same. Although there are buttloads of native tribes around, they were largely spread out in tight tribal clusters. The white settlers of the time tended to either sit around in the coastal regions, or cluster around little towns in the middle of nowhere.

France, though, is another kettle of fish... there's enough of a population, in a small enough space, that finding people to facehug won't be too difficult.

The Pred ship should be able to easily enough detect Alien outbreaks from space; with that, all they really need to do is send down shuttles, loaded with Preds carrying heavy metal. That's if they want to just smear the Aliens, make sure the planet's not overtaken; if they want to hunt, it'll take a while, but if they're smart enough to use their plasma-casters (like they should've in AvP, from what people've said before) they should be able to pwn.

The Afrikaaners weren't just sitting around they were running numerous farms with wageslaved blacks inside SA. I can't recall if this is after or before the Boer War, though, and that would make a difference.

Any alien can "queen" itself if neccessary, and who gives a shit about human population centers? Anything dog-sized and up can gestate an alien. They'll find a cave, or dig a tunnel, and start breeding off of whatever is in the local environment. The Preds can keep the planet from being overrun only if they know where every "pod" landed and can make sure they kill every last alien.
