Can we have an ultimate Rise asteroid scaling reference?

I've tried to make heads-tails of the arguments surrounding the size of the asteroid and have seen various posts on SD and SB to that effect, but I've never been able to see the complete methodology for the *correct* size (I'm well aware of Darkstar's moronic "glow" argument but anyway), other than the conclusion being around 44m or so, so I can assume that it's been performed.

Based off his scaling, the torp was 1 MT

I'd be interested too. A couple of threads at SB are trying to use G2K's Rise calcs right now.

You know what is the really amusing thing? Even if we accept the 100 MT yield and Bobby's SW evidence standards Trek still can't win a one on one fight. Best they can go for is 2:1 with all the best assumptions for Trek and low ones for Wars. Go realistic assumptions for both, it's something like 30 GCS: 1 ISD.

To clarify, ignoring the DS bombardment an the asteroid scenes, Mike calculated a low end of 3 MT per shot based off the Falcon getting knocked around. Now at the start of ANH the ISD fires at a rate of about 5 shots per second from all over. If this firing rate is the same for rebel cruisers and so is the yield, then an ISD has shields capable of sustaining 9000 shots or 27000 MT. At 100 MT a torp and 250 torps, a lone GCS can't get the shields down, let alone destroy all that metal. Meanwhile, since a GCS can take ~10 shots to its sheilds based off Yesterday's Enterprise (less in the main timeline), that gives them 1 GT shields, which an ISD can down in a couple of minutes, then maul the rest.
