I've seen that before, but damn that's still funny as hell.

God, that was fucking funny. Almost as good as the ABS Mac and Linux flash ones.

BAH HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Seems angrier then me.

Mac and
Linux mocking flash animations. Very funny as well.

I approve. Quite hillarious.

Ah. I've seen those ones before (I especially like the Linux one) but I'd never heard of them being referred to as "ABS".

I saw them through AlbinoBlackSheep originally, but they're linked out from the site now.

Yeah. Everyone's always telling me that the Mac OS is so much more intuitive than that of Windows, but I tried using it (after reading the fucking parts of the fucking user manual that pertained to what I wanted to do) and it took me almost two hours to figure it out. Then they started making excuses like, "Well, it's only non-intuitive because you've used Windows and Linux for so long." And I go, "IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER! The time I spent using Windows/Linux means I don't have to bother to learn them whenever I buy a new computer. If I were using a Mac, I WOULD have to spend that time." Then they usually walk off and I laugh at them.

Yeah, let's face it: it was smart of the KDE/Linux team to make their desktop act pretty much like Windows. That way, people don't get too confused by the migration. The underlying system is a lot different, and that can eventually create problems, but at least there's a certain comfort level with the GUI that allows neophytes to use the thing, even if they have trouble with system administration tasks. My wife has no problem using both Windows and Linux, because I take care of all the configuration on both, and she just sits down and starts clicking.

Which OS? OS 9 or OS X? Because I literally got up and started using OS X in five minutes flat, with no experience with Macs whatsoever since OS 8 in Simple Finder mode.
Oh, as for the video...I'm starting to see where the "castrate Straha" jokes come from
Looks like that guy's never used the big X...

LOL, just something funny. On Windows it was playing like CRAP, part of the image disappearing, etc. On the Mac- it plays right.

This video's at least 1 year old, and it's been posted about thirty times before on this board. Not to mention that the guy's talking about OS 9.

Sorry, I didn't get that with all the spyware and viruses muddling things up.

May be old, but it's the first time I've seen it, so I thought it was hilarious. Like tears bad.
I'm simply not a Mac user. They're GUI has never really been very intuitive for me, and especially now has too much candy to make sense.
Oh, and Final Cut's user interface in particular definately sucks the proverbial wenis...

For Mac, are you referring to 9 or X?
For FC, are you referring to the old or new?
Because Final Cut Pro 4's interface looks VERY intuitive to me, compared to the video editting station I worked on once.
My favorite was the Linux animation

I was using OS 9, but I've seen people with OS X and it seems like a similarly ridiculous interface.
I love the fact that every program has a little button at the bottom of the desktop, perfect for cluttering up everything and making it difficult to find the program that you want.

Haha, that was hilarious and I know how he feels despite my total time on a Mac system being measured in minutes.

You mean the Dock? That's for running applications and stuff you want to stay there. Windows creates a new taskbar item for every
window you open, for Christ's sake.

Linux uses a Windows-style tasbox in the big KDE bar at the bottom, but if you have several of one app (such as kwrite) open and you're in danger of filling up the taskbox, it automatically groups them to save space.

Okay, the computer lab in the music department uses Macs. I would just like to say that yes, they suck. The damn things are so fuggin' counterintuitive it's not even funny.

I'm pretty sure Windows XP does that for me in most cases, though as it's usually browser windows that get that many instances and since I use Firefox tabs, I don't use the feature anymore.

I find it's usually AIM that ends up spawning enough windows to cause the taskbar to start grouping them together.
