I have a probelm using torrent, its so slooow.

I have 500 kb/s but it download rate is between 1 kb/s and 7 kb/s. The upload rate is faster.

Is there a way to speed the download up?

Check your firewall and/or NAT router and see if you're allowing BitTorrent to pass through. Azureus supports using only a single port, so that might help you.

BitTorrent uploads chunks of whatever you've downloaded. It is also possible that the whole BT network for that file is acting slow.

Depends on your router, consult your manual. You must also check which port Azureus is using.

I have a similar problem, azereus says i have a nat error. however i've changed the settings to open the bittorrent ports on every computer on my network. still isn't fixed. its REALLY annoying.
