Imperial armor

Post by nasor »

Is there any information out there on Imperial armor technology? Starships don't seem to hold up very well once their shields are down, so I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on the subject.

The resources are somewhat weird, as usual. For example:
- If you watch frame by frame, you will see that only the right gun of the A- Wing hit and went through the windows of the Executor, the rest of the fighter hit the hull under the windows without causing any visible deformation to the computer consoles.
- Then there is the asteroid collision in TESB.
- In ANH a (likely dual) blast from a Tie (wcich was partally deflected by the shield in the novelisation) went trough the hull of the Falcon. However, it is not a real example for warships.
