Minor News:American Moves assests into the Gulf

How much? Try Four Carriers, two there and two within the next week plus reports of four Nuke boats armed with Convential Crusie Missles in range plus an unknow number of cruise missle armed fasted attacks as well


BTW each of the Carriers is bringing thier battle groups with them and thiers talk of moving the Pacific Fleets into the Indian Ocean's to help as well :twisted:

PAC Fleet only has one more carrier to add. Still impressive. 5 Carriers on station with just twelve in service and a budget fit for 8-9. That compared to fully funded six out of fifteen, which could be sent in 1991

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

They have been shooting at our planes for over six months now and we don't do anything, we finaly do AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN SHOOTING AT US FOR OVER SIX MONTHS and you get angrey?

Six MONTHS, try six years. No matter what you think of W. it doesn't negate the fact that this war has been on slow motion for a decade. Just because President Clinton refused to pay attension at it and President Bush does, doesn't make it wrong.

When Bush started that to begin with yes! I don't think starting a war for no good reason is the thing we should be doing right now. Until we actually finish the war on terror, I don't think we need to invade Iraq. Instead we have Dubya abandoning the War on Terror to pursue his personal vengeance.

Actually, they would hit us with radar. Bubba Clinton gave them the go ahead to start taking out targets that did that on the eve of his impeachment.

Actually they fire SAM's on a daily basis. When a guidance radar switches into tracking mode the planes destroy them, this has been the case for the last four years. Search radars are only bombed from time to time when a air defense sectors starts to get really hot. Then we see dedicated strike missions flown against them.

Light triple A generally gets ignored as most peices cant even hope to reach the planes. Those that can like the S-60's get bombed.

One one goes to war one very well expects if you win that the enemy will opon surrendering do what you tell them as you can annilate them if they don't(As it has for tens of thousands of years) now then if you find out they did NOT do as you said despite the threat of annilation can you truely be said to be going to war AGIAN? Are you delusional or just stupid? American and British planes inforcing the UN defined no-fly zones have been shot at by SAMs and AA fire for years.

America and Britian have been doing police work at the UN's behest since the War and you call it a personal grudge? It is just in case, moving more materiel in there is just to keep him in line. Sometimes you have to show some muscle to makes sure things keep in line. Dubya isn't launching a war unless he starts airstrikes and landings. Stop being so fucking melodramatic and politically one-dimensional. Ignorance does not support your bullshit.

You do realize that the airstrikes you're talking about that were supposedly to distract from Lewinski were on Al Quaeda bases in Afghanistan in retaliation for the Embassy bombing in Africa, right? And that we came within 15 min of killing Bin Laden, right?

Looks like Shrubby is going to attack regardless of how Iraq responds to the current resolution, what the inspectors find (if applicable) and regardless of what the Security Council mandates if the inspectors find anything objectionable. If Shrubby goes through with this an conquors Iraq without at least a token blessing from the SC the results could be rather messy. You heard it here first.
