Endor Force Addition

Post by Alyeska »

Shortly before Endor the Rebel Alliance is contacted by a new alien race that has decided to throw in support against the Empire. 6 squadrons of the Advanced Gunstars along with flight crews and support staff join the Rebel Alliance. 3 squadrons are of the Gunstar shown in The Last Starfighter, the other 3 have Death Blossom removed in favor for some heavy anti-capitalship weaponry.

IMO the Gunstar ought to be small enough to make the Death Star run.

So, just how much does this change the Rebel victory. And what sort of future victories might the Rebellion make if they were able to recieve a yearly supply of these fighters from this point forward?
"If the facts are on your side, pound on the facts. If the law is on your side, pound on the law. If neither is on your side, pound on the table."

"The captain claimed our people violated a 4,000 year old treaty forbidding us to develop hyperspace technology. Extermination of our planet was the consequence. The subject did not survive interrogation."

Endor: a dozen Gunstars fly into the cloud of TIEs as they swarm towards the Rebel fleet. They activate Death Blossom. Ouch. The Gundstars will aid immesuably in hitting the Imperial fleet over and over, freeing Lando and Wedge to make a steady pace through the DS2.

The Gunstars will DEFINATELY aid Rebel victories after Endor, especially if retrofitted with shields.
