The year is 1959 and hostilities have broken out between the Soviet Union and the West. As the Soviet Hordes begin to move towards the Channel, a curious event happens.
Each and every one of the Soviet tanks are replaced by Zeon Mobile Suits.
Can the forces of the West roll back the Soviet mecha tide?

The West blast the shit out of the Union's infrastructure but there's not enough conventional firepower on hand to deal with the highly mobile mecha swarm, which would also be a pain to hit with tac nukes other then crockets.
It go could either way, but I think much of Europe is a loss. They'll be rolled back though. But it will take time.

The way I was thinking of this thread is that the NATO forces have no real conventional firepower capable of standing up to the Mecha forces (now, if I brought in BTech, that's another story). OTOH, they do have a non-trivial mount of nuclear firepower at their disposal at the front and without any silly political control systems on them. Still, the conventional mechs probably overrun the West.IG-88E wrote:Highly doubtful. Even the earliest Zakus were designed to deal with fighters and tanks, and throwing in MS like Hi-Zacks or Geara Dogas is a joke.
The Soviet Union's infrastructure and industry is about to go bye-bye (they can't stop the incoming nuclear attack, the US can), however.

The Zeon suits get blown to hell by massed nuke attacks and Germanyphongn wrote:The year is 1959 and hostilities have broken out between the Soviet Union and the West. As the Soviet Hordes begin to move towards the Channel, a curious event happens.
