Starlancer versus Star Wars?

I have a strong feeling Starlancer might prove superior WRT to fighters. Their torps... 4 can sink ships about 50 times their length. Their fighters move in kps, though I suspect SW ships are faster. And the Starlancer ships have all kinds of gimcracks built into their ships, like Blindfire, Reverse Thrust, Spectral Shields, Nova Cannons, etc.

But in terms of capital ships... probably not. Czar vs. ISD = Scrap metal Czar

Starlancer would most likely give SW a run for its money in fighter level combat. Don't forget stuff like cloaking and sideslipping that gives them tactical advantages.

Capship combat. SL goes down. Big time.

The one thing I really disliked about Starlancer was the capital ships ... a few of the 'Eastern Coalition' ships were funky (the Varyag and Czar) but god the weapons were stupid .... how many torpedo tubes did those things have? And they were so SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
