Well, new to me, anyway. I was browsing gamefaqs recently, having dug up my old SNES last month and wanting to brush up on the odd walkthrough. While looking at the stuff for FF3, I stumbled upon this:
The No Equipment, Natural Magic Game.
It's relatively simple. No equipment on your characters at any time, no relics except Sprint Shoes for non-timed areas, and no Espers equipped ever. You're limited to the characters' natural abilities, and, of course, the item command.
So, I was intrigued as I read further, and am now in the process of doing the NENMG. So far, I like it. It's definitely harder than a regular game, but it's far from impossible. It adds artifical dimensions to a classic, which definitely increases replayability. If you love FF3 but have played it through a zillion times, you should give this challenge a shot.
Be prepared to scream in frustration more than once, though.
