Well, it's a picture inspired by a story idea I had. Without giving away too much, Claude (aka "Fido" or "The Guy" or whatever you want to call him) from GTA3 takes a little trip out to Los Santos, San Andreas.

This is just a picture or also a basis for a fanfic? And is it/will it be a mod?

As to it being a mod...it'd be cool, and maybe, if I had interest and programming skills.

Hmm...so is your fanfic a talkie or a silent movie? I'd think it'd be really funny if you somehow managed to write a story where the character still doesn't say a damned word. If you managed to do that, I'd read it.

You don't even know the storyline yet.

And just so you're aware, I am fully aware of him being out there you know, as well as the whole Catalina bit. It's a part of my planned storyline.

So, to do away with the annoying nitpick, he takes another trip out to San Andreas. Happy?

And fuck who does better than who. Realistically Tommy Vercetti is a non issue anyway; it's been a good 14 years since his prime by the time the GTA3 guy comes into all of this, and also at the time of this story. So it really doesn't matter much, now does it?

Anyway, I really would like at least some feedback on the artwork featured above. I'm all for a good natured thread hijack, but only after there has been something constructive done first.

Do a better clip of The Dude and feather the edges a bit. Too many jaggies around him. Up the opacity a bit - in fact, I'd say make it full opacity, maybe, with a shadow.

Like I told you before, that requires skill I don't have.

As to the opacity bit, I like him faded in the sky like that, sort of like some phantasm over the city (which is the effect I'm going for in relation to the fanfic).

But seriously, he's supposed to be a shadowy menace, lurking in the background, in the context of the story. Which is where the picture is coming from.

So if you can tell me how making him fully opaque and looking like Godzilla walking through the city, go ahead and show me.

I know, that's precisely why I asked if it would mess up your storyline. Because I don't know what it is.

About the second version, I like the faded look much better than the first guy on the black background. However, I think if it was at full opacity it might even surpass this version. Or if it was at least slightly more opaque.
