That reminds me of a funny stand-up joke I heard on TV years ago. Can't remember the comedian, but the joke's stuck with me all this time: that with recorders that watch our TVs automatically, and machines that answer our phones automatically, and stoves that cook our foods automatically, and washer/dryers that launder our clothes automatically, one day we're going to come home and find that our appliances don't need us anymore.
