Tony Awards
Well, the Tonys (like the Oscars, but for musical theatre) are coming up, and it looks like Spamalot and A Light in the Piazza are both going to do very well. Anyone have any predictions for Best Musical, or any other award? Will anyone be watching them? Has anyone heard of these awards before right now?

Heh, Wicked was up for it last year, where it got utterly euchered out of Best Musical by Avenue Q (still won a bunch of awards, I think, though). I really hope Spamalot wins (Musical based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail), even though it's mostly a re-hash of 30-year-old songs.Drunk Monkey wrote:Wicked should win best musical. I went to go see that in Toronto with a choral field trip, the best fucking musical ever I’ll take that over the original wizard of oz any day.
I think Dirty Rotten Scoundrels or A Light in the Piazza will take it, though- poor, poor Python fans.
